The Veritas large router plane is an invaluable tool for work on stopped or through dadoes and grooves, or for any work that requires an area cut to a precise depth. The blade depth is regulated by a fine screw feed that travels 1/32" per turn for precise adjustment, with the resulting depth of cut controlled by a locking depth stop. Unique to the large router plane is a spring-loaded blade-clamping collar that holds the blade in position when the collar is loosened. It provides tactile feedback, allowing controlled blade adjustment to a depth of 1".
