I own several spray guns from inexpensive HF guns to upper middle grade DeVilbiss guns in both HVLP and conventional styles as well as some of the old "standard" cup type guns. I am not a professional auto body sprayer, but I've spent over half my 68 years doing it for not only myself, but for friends and at one time in a body shop. As we all know, today's modern paints are a long way from the synthol and acrylic enamels I started out spraying to the newer acrylic urethane, basecoat/clear coat/ and now the water borne paints, and spray equipment has evolved along with the new products. This Sharpe Finex FX2000 is one of the guns I own. In fact I own two of them. One for basecoat or single stage color, and one for clearcoat and use them more than any of the other types and brands that I own. Why? Well simply because they give me consistent results time after on the jobs I'm doing. The atomization is great and the fan pattern is more than sufficient to cover the area I need and overspray is minimal. Now remember that I learned on a Binks cup type gun way back in the early 70's and this is a conventional type gun, so I may be somewhat partial to this style gun, but for the money you'll be hard pressed to fine a gun that will give this type of results.
