  • Wonderful little accessory

With lack of affordable UWA lens for m43 system, this little thing works wonder for those who doesn't want to pay the premium for a proper UWA lens. It only works on the 14-42 mm kit lens with a bayonet mount that turn and click into place, DOES NOT work with 14-42mm EZ lens. It maintained image quality quite well as the 14-42mm IIR is already a superb kit lens (at least for hobbyist like myself). The extra 3mm (6mm equivalent of 35mm) does make a difference for landscape shots. I also have an adapter ring to use Canon 10-22mm on Olympus em10 body, Canon lens does give a better image quality if you use a tripod as IBIS does not cope very well with Canon lens even with the right IBIS focal length setting, plus the Canon lens cannot autofocus very well with the cheap adapter I had. For handheld shots, this converter is better than Canon just because it autofocus just as fast as a m43 native lens and works with IBIS as long as you choose "Wide Converter" under SCN Mode. Another reason to use this instead of Canon is because of the tripod mount and weight. If your camera has a tripod mount hole towards the front, chances are the EFS adapter might interfere with the quick release plate. And the Canon lens is just so heavy that you have to use the tripod mount on the adapter instead which creates one more step to unscrew the quick release plate from the camera body if you want to change lens on the tripod.
