What a hassle ricing one potato at a time when there's so many to do. Good if you are only making a small amount of mash, but time consuming for a lot. You'll have to pick up the pace with this one. It produces a very grainy texture and you still have to pulverise the mash to get it creamy. Then there's the cleaning by hand, much more than a traditional masher because of it's nooks and crannies. If you're going to make gnocchi then it'll be worth the effort. Another thing, this thing is Huge and dominates real estate in the cooking implement drawer unless hung out of harm's way.
