Product Information

Based on the NBC television series starring Roy Scheider, seaQuest DSV for the Super Nintendo gives you the opportunity to participate in a computer-simulated performance evaluation to see if you have what it takes to become captain of the seaQuest DSV submarine. The seaQuest DSV is a large and highly powerful research vessel in charge of keeping the peace between the various confederacies and corporations beneath the seas. As acting captain, this simulation will require you to command the submarine, firing torpedoes, missiles, and lasers at pirate ships and other enemy vessels. You will also be called on to defuse bombs, locate and destroy power relays, rebuild a life support system, and other dangerous missions. In addition to piloting the seaQuest DSV submarine, you must also commandeer an assortment of vessels, including a crab, which is a mining and recovery vehicle; a stinger, which is a one-person attack sub; a sea speeder, which is a heavily armored transport and defense vehicle; and a sea truck, which is a large vehicle for transporting people, equipment, and supplies. On certain missions, you will even be called on to guide Darwin through the vast depths of the ocean. This dolphin, a character from the TV series, is highly intelligent and is capable of swimming in strong currents. <br><br>To earn the job of captain of the seaQuest DSV, you must have diplomatic skills, technical prowess, and a knack for keeping the peace. To complete the final mission, you must achieve the rank of Admiral.
