    Good tension, funky sound, long lasting bass strings

    These strings sound tight and sharp without undue spikey or metallic zing. They stay great-sounding and clean far longer than most bass string sets. We live near the sea in a humid (for 4-5 months a year) environment, so these strings are perfect for my main gigging bass. They are made at a nice tension, so they are pleasant to play without any floppiness.

    Stay sounding great, longer!

    I've been using Elixir strings for years now. Although not quite as bright as traditional strings, the upside is the brightness they do have lasts so much longer. Whereas I used to have to change strings every 5 gigs, I can get up to 30 gigs with that new string sound with Elixir strings.
