Reviews"While the books about Jack may appeal more to boys, and Billie's books may appeal more to girls, the two have remained best friends since they were babies and readers may enjoy all of the titles because they will recognize the long-lasting friendship of Billie and Jack." -- Oneota Reading Journal

SynopsisThis early reader series featuring Billie B. Brown's best friend Jack, knows there is more to boys than liking dragons and pirates! The series is full of down-to-earth, real-life stories that boys can enjoy and relate to. Word art and illustrations provide reading breaks without huge blocks of text or intimidating words. And Jack's gigantic imagination injects fun and humor. Jack wants to kick a goal at soccer, but the coach has made him goalie. There's no glory in goalkeeping, is there?
My granddaughter who just turned six in March has read all, but seven of the "Billie B. Brown" books and just a couple of the books in the "Hey Jack Series". She loves them all. They make her giggle. Her reading level has dramatically increase since Christmas. I would recommend all of Sally Rippin's book.
