Still a great bread guide
I owned one of these years ago and misplaced it. I'd been searching for one for the past 6 months so when I saw this being sold, I grabbed it and am happy to have the slicing guide back in my kitchen. The guides offer different thickness of slices. It fits a loaf that comes from a bread making machine. It is solidly built and stable on the counter. I will usually bake my bread in the oven - if there is too large of a crown on the bread, it may not fit in the slicer (too wide), but that isn't really an issue very often. I did purchase a foldable wood slicing guide before I found this one and I highly recommend the Presto over the wood type. Best thing since sliced bread!
I gotta admit I was skeptical 🤨 I looked at it and wondered how it was going to work. But it DOES! Very nice thin sandwich slices. My husband even wants to make sandwiches with them. This ia much better bread slicing guide than the cheaply built garbage on the market today. It is sturdily built. Unfortunately it is apparently no longer made.
