I've had my eye on this headlamp for a long time, and a recent sale combined with an immediate need got me to buy it. I am very glad that my wait is over! The headlamp is well made and provides several different types of light and degrees of brightness. The setting with the second longest battery life is medium brightness with a spread beam. I find that this is plenty of light for me while doing electrical work inside dark boxes or in the attic or basement without other light sources and the headlamp runs for 8 1/2 hours on that setting. The low brightness with a spread beam runs for 31 hours, but it's a bit too dim for me in most circumstances. There is a high brightness with a spread beam setting as well as a high brightness spot and a high brightness spot combined with a spread beam. I haven't found a need to use those settings yet. The headlamp comes with a USB charging cable but no wall adapter, so I use my iPhone's wall adapter. Charging the headlamp from something less than 50% to full charge took about 2 hours. Plugging the headlamp into one of the USB ports on my computer took overnight, so I wouldn't recommend that. There is a fuel gauge that briefly lights up when the unit is first powered on, and the gauge also indicates the progress of re-charging, although the meaning of the colors of the gauge is different for battery consumption versus charging. The data sheet included with my headlamp was out of date, so I got an updated one from the Milwaukee website which correctly described the meaning of the colors of the fuel gauge. I've only worn the headlamp directly on my head so I don't know how well it works when mounted with the supplied clips onto a hard hat.Read full review

Pros Headlight has nice features. Separate mode button and on off button Light is very bright Cons Light gets too hot on higher modes Light is too heavy, should be a 2 part unit with light in front and battery on back of head Battery goes dead too fast on high brightness modes

This is the best I've used. I'm electrician and I use mine mostly on low light and it sufficient for my needs terminating. Night time outside the bright lumins helps me see any obstacles. On full power use I charge every day. On low every three days. I save money just in battery replacement. Great light. Love it.

Great quality. Comes with everything, plus a longer usb cord than the first one I bought at the store. I was originally looking to buy just the battery but it is just another $10 or so to buy a whole new head lamp. Will buy again when needed.

This light has multiple intensity levels that allow you to vary the output based on the task you're performing. If you need a lot of light to do outdoor chores, there is a flood setting to cover a wide area. If you need a more narrow and focused beam, just press a button. The battery life, as a brand new unit, lasts 2-3 hours easily when used on a medium intensity. This is outside at temps of 15-20 F. The highest setting definitely uses power up quicker, but I can still get 1-2 hours easy. It would be nice if a separate charger with an extra battery was available to keep a spare handy, but I did not see that as an option in the paperwork. All in all, it's a great light for a decent price.

Buy this product here! I have three of these - best head lamp I've used and I've used many. Also buy the extra battery and separate charger though as battery life on high settings is not that great.

Excellent controls for illumination. 5 different settings, they switch between lights and intensity. Built tough and resistant to dirt and liquids. The pictures might not show it well, but there's a rubberized pad on the back of the light, so you can wear it without a helm as well and it's not uncomfortable. It's a bit larger than pictures make it seem. I thought it would be a lot more compact considering it uses LEDs, but I didn't count on the large size of the 4V Li-Ion battery behind them. Nevertheless, it's still smaller than any headlamp I've seen (aside from naked LED strips that you can only use in an office I assume), so it's good for use in limited space, and the sturdiness makes it so you don't have to worry about banging it against something close to your face (as it usually goes), it's tough enough to stay in one piece and working. Also, battery doesn't have any room inside it's case to move, so it doesn't break contact in the event you do bang it against something, which was a common problem I had on my last light. It's pretty lightweight considering the battery. All in all, a really good light.Read full review

Absolutely amazing tool. Yes, this light is a tool. Great range of light intensity and focal points. It’s not as bright as my Princeton or Coasts...but it’s rechargeable at a great price! I learned that it’s better to let the light completely charge and then completely discharge before recharging. Recharging every time after a small period of use can harm (shorten the lifespan) the lithium battery.

This light caught my eye because of the rechargeable capability.. I drive a concrete truck and early hours isn’t a common practice yet it happens. And now with my rechargeable head lamp that battery anxiety is gone. Sweet lord Jesus it’s a game changer. Thanks

This is far and away the best headlamp I have had. Very rugged and put together well. Comfortable on head and works great on any hard hat as well. Many settings gets the light you need. Charge last longer than I was anticipating. I will only buy Milwaukee for now on!!
