Poor Quality, Cheap Design.
This is a toy. It has a clamp to hold the knife to be sharpened but it is narrow and does not provide enough width. With a long kitchen knife the whole knife slips as one tries to turn it over and in my case it cut me with a cut of about 50mm. The clamps that hold the rods is of poor quality and come loose easily requiring the bar to be reset. This has to be done by laying on a flat surface to ensure that the bar is on the same plane as the stone. The stone, that is covered in oil, leaves the oil on the surface. The bar is similarly not held firmly by the clamp and can swivel requiring resetting again to make sure you are grinding at the same plane. Annoyingly the stone frequently slips off the end of the stone and this is frustrating.
The mechanism to keep the stone at the right angle to the blade is good. The unit is cheap and quality has been skimped on totally unnecessarily considering the asking price. The stones are also too narrow and one has to move the blade along the knife to complete the full length of the blade for most utility blades. Probably better for pocket knives.
