For those new to the world of easy listening, however, this could be one of the best places to collect a parade of pop touchstones -- "Up, Up and Away," "Theme from 'A Summer Place'," "Beyond the Sea," "Mack the Knife," "That's Amore," "Wishin' and Hopin'," "Moon River," etc. It's also clear that the compilers didn't simply consult their cultural consciousness; the disc illustrates their knowledge of the vocal genre with some well-placed interstitial songs as well, including "On the Street Where You Live" by Vic Damone, "Fools Rush In (Where Angels Fear to Tread)" by Brook Benton, and "Move Over Darling" by Doris Day. Exactly as the title suggests.
Amazing selection of hits from days gone by. Music from when songs were simpler, the music is softer, and a time when you can understand the singer. Perfect for when you need to 'mellow out'.
