    Beautiful and functional

The pressure gauge goes up to 100 lbs sq in. The instructions say 4 bar which is about 58 lbs/sq/in. The scale also has a dark line which would indicate an operating range, but the instructions are mute on this point. Otherwise an excellent unit.

5 Stars if it worked as advertised - It Does Not - but it can if are willing to tweek it

Everything about this fryer gets 5 stars except temperature control. Out of the box the oil would only heat to 352 degrees. The seller sent me a new heating unit. Out of the box it would only go to 348 degrees. I defeated the oil temperature sensors (kept then out of the oil) and used an expensive external temp control I have. I could get the oil as hot as I wanted. Easily got to 375 degrees. So the problem is with the stock temperature control. My guess was that the temp sensors were mounted too close to the heating coils and the thermostat got a false reading. I moved the sensor brackets and sensors to the bottom section of coils instead of the top. Problem solved. Set at 392 (max) degrees the oil heats to about 370. I measured the actual oil temperature with a Thermopen. If you tweek a machine you need to have a thermometer you trust to keep track of actual oil temp. There are a lot of variables, so your mileage may differ. My DO NOT RECOMMEND is based on out of the box performance of my unit. If you are willing to play with it, and you get the same results I did - it is a 5 STAR machine and highly recommended. It is a simple, relatively easy to clean fryer; only 3 parts, 10 litre base unit with a drain valve made of good materials (it is submersible once the heater is removed), a heater and control unit with good heating ability (considering only 1500 watts) , and the cover. This fryer seems deep; it is, but not for cooking. The looped coils take up a lot of space. Once it is filled with oil to the max mark there is only 3 inches of oil above the heater coils. NOTE: I do not fry a lot at one time; mostly tempura, so it doesn't get piled in. The oil temp has stayed above 340 at all times, and it recovers quickly. I suspect I have voided the warranty with my tweek, but it works and I don't have to return it. The most common complaint about fryers that are suitable for home use is not heating up past 350 degrees. At least this design allows for a solution at a reasonable price. And, of course, for the record, I do not recommend you do what I did.

  • Nice counter fryer

Good construction overall despite quite a few sharp edges. Massive heater, temperature control is good. Drain valve is extra plus. Would be great if a on/off switch is included.

  • Electric deep fryer

I finally received my electric deep fryer there are no handles and the left divot was bent so it doesn't sit properly it uses a lot of oil and for this reason I'm not giving it a five-star

  • Commercial grade versatility bam said Emirel.

For the price a fantastic product the heating element was a plus compared to other fryers. The drain valve with strainer way superior. Led lights were highly visible. Recommend to others.
