Not a great product
The tuning dial is really imprecise, lots of backlash so it's hard to tune into a station. If you go past it, you have to wind back farther to get back to the station. I live in a rural area and the signal in the area is weak however, a small Sony transistor radio that I have has no trouble picking up the main stations in the region. I purchased this radio because it has AC so I'm not always going through batteries like I do with the little Sony. Unfortunately, I think the A/C power supply is some sort of a mode switching or PWM supply and so it creates a LOT of interference to the signal. The AM receiver is really poor and I can't even pick up the ABC regional radio signal. FM reception is better but with lots of static. When you can pick up reception, the sound quality is fine for a single speaker device. My little 20 year old Sony transistor radio leaves this one for dead.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Radio difficult to tune and would only pick up a few of the closest stations, station indicator does not align with frequency and radio needs to be constantly retuned (fades out), has loud annoying humming noise when used on power cord and gets noticeably warm after a while, noticeable speaker static. with a distorted sound. Can only listen to for short time until it becomes too annoying, sensitive volume goes from quiet to loud at slight movement of knob. Has an all over cheap feel about it. But it looks good. Poor Station Indicator, Not great reception
Not a great reception. Also the station indicator. You have to search for your favourite station. As the station indicator is POOR. For example to get to SEN 1116 - The attached photo is where I found it. Just over 800 on the AM dial, it's meant to be somewhere between the 1000 and 1300. So if you can't find your favourite station keep that in mind before you write a bad review as I did.
