I wasted my money
I am reasonably proficient in using 2D CAD software and bought TurboCAD to allow me to move onto 3D with a view to creating objects I could produce in a 3D Printer. The product is not easy to learn and the tutorials are of little help. I tried working my way through the process of creating a 2D object and then extruding it into a 3D equivalent. Creating the 2D version was extremely slow and took much longer than the tutorials suggested. Then trying to create a 3D object from that was completely futile as what the tutorials suggested should occur and what actually happened on the screen were totally different. The tutorials also appeared to assume a knowledge I did not have because there seemed to be steps missing. I actually tried viewing "unofficial" help videos on youTube and what the guy was suggesting was quite different to the TurboCAD tutorials. TurboCAD Software, tutorial needs to start at basics.
I am a new user of TurboCAD and I found the tutorial a little clumsy and all over the place, to see exactly what I needed to start my drawing off.? All I was looking for was how to draw a straight line to draw a title block and sheet boarder. Great package and thoroughly recommended
Package arrived as advertised and on time. Turbocad 2017 and symbols pack fully functional. All DVDs arrived sealed with internal serial/licence numbers. There was a £16.40 customs charge to pay. The training packages are worth having and they are a good introduction to Turbocad. The movies provide are in SWF adobe flash format and not directly playable in Windows 10. TurboCad Deluxe is BASIC
This version is very basic, good if you want to do house plans or basic 3D works. Does not include complex tool features such as "Shell Solid" , Chamfer Edge" or "Lofting" This makes designing anything of high detail very time consuming. High detail render does not work as well as TCpro versions either as you are limited to 90 facets - so spheres don't look truly spherical.
