Impressive router, even more impressive price
I've struggled with covering my roughly ~5000sq ft house with a solid wireless connection without breaking the bank. Google's newest WiFi solution had me stoked but by heavens is that expensive. This router represents the opposite of that. Router triples up with switch, wireless routing, and a wireless access point, while managing to handle all three seamlessly thanks to it dual 2.4/5.0 gHZ available bands. I'm currently using this to cover half of house and the signal is easily touching all ~2500sq ft needed. Surprisingly Strong Performance
I bought this item to run adjacent to the Verizon supplied router for FIOS internet running at 75mbps. The Verizon box is not that strong for wifi usage and fully discussed on other boards. So, this Netgear hooked right up to one of the Verizon box wired connections and we were in business. Now, I have very strong, fast wifi throughout the house and the transmission range is very strong.
