Happy with the new unit. Installation was a breeze with the flexible hoses. We love it.
We had a (I'm guessing coz I bought it secondhand) 30 year old pilot light version which finally died. The heater core had corroded through in an awkward spot making it irreparable. Looking for a way out that wouldn't mean having to rebuild the laundry we had this one installed. Quite apprehensive from all the negative feedback on product review. Many of those reviews describe complaints that show they haven't read the manual. We really like the new unit it performs well produces stable temperature hot water. As the unit uses Hydropower to light the burner, ignition time is slightly longer. Plumbing to kitchen and shower is short so loss of water is minimal. We like our unit. With it's digital technology will give you an error code should there be a problem.
