Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Vintage Tubes & Tube Sockets
I bought this for swapping out what was originally in my ART Pro VLA, which I picked up used. Somebody had put GE 12AT7WA's in it. Sounded whimpy, and I wasn't getting the gain I wanted. I stuck this Telefunken in channel 1 and a 1959 Amperex Bugle Boy in channel 2. The Bugle Boy wins hands down! But this ribbed plate does give it a run for its money too! Great tubes for this starved plate design! The personality still shines through.

I recently replaced my old, failed drawer CD player with a top loading Rega Planet that I purchased on eBay. I complimented it with a California Audio Labs Sigma DAC. They sounded fantastic. After reading some reviews, I replaced the brand new Russian tube in the DAC with a vintage Telefunken tube. Love the results. Wide sound, deeper, richer bass, with no compromise elsewhere. Warm, very analog sound. I wasn't done. I finished with a Monarchy digital interface processor that I run in front of the DAC. This acts as a "word clock", anti-jitter corrector. The sound is even better. The best news is that I purchased all of these items on eBay for a very reasonable investment, considering the quality of the equipment. They simply don't make tubes that sound like some of these vintage tubes anymore, or DAC's for that matter. DA.Read full review

I read some reviews, and expected more extended treble, better pitch and texture with bass. What I got was a rock solid sound field, not really holographic, but almost in the room presence. This is not a highlight magnifier, on bass or treble. It gets everything right, top to bottom, front to back. I don't have 4 of these for my preamp, I'm using one per channel, followed by some 1959 RCA JAN tubes, which were a big step up from some Psvane T series. The circuit is based on a Conrad Johnson one, which sounded a little slow and veiled before using vintage tubes, but now sounds lit, fast and smoothly extended in bass, treble, imaging in all directions, and a "they're in the room" presence on most recordings. Not as expected; better than hoped for.

Good product. It's cheaper to buy Teles carrying other brand marks and the quality is the same.

I changed the Tube in my AKG Perception 800 series Mic. The long plates do sound warmer and smoother that the stock ribbed plate tube. Admittedly, I had to listen closely and did a A/B compare, but it was worth the money to me.

Fabulous upgrade to my pre-amp line section. Incredible detail and soundstage, I’m blown away. Replaced Sylvania’s, no comparisons. The hype about Telefunken is true, I wouldn’t have believed it if not for my own equipment.

These valves were an excellent match for my 1959 maggie, 175-55. ratings were as described on my tester!

Very few of these old tubes live up to their reputations. Yes, some are great in the right amp. The only thing I am pretty sure of is their longevity. It's all a roll of the dice in my opinion.
