I want to give it 5 stars but..........
The reason I could not give 5 stars is because they tend to have a manufacturing defect pertaining to the screen rotation and touch screen....though I was able to fix it ..it still required me to take it apart and do so...after the fix it it an awesome tablet the screen is great only one better would go to another awesome tablet the Kindle hdx..however it has a major flaw as its a Kindle and cannot modify it or enjoy the play store and with the amazon lackluster app store it killed it for me...but I do love my nexus 7.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Is it good value ? Maybe, but definitely not yes or no.
It is relatively user unfriendly, not easy to learn. Basic functions like file system, storage to USB are missing. I had to find those solutions on line because the pdf manual is bad. No directions for using the cameras or where the photos are stored. Recently I got dumped on with hundreds of unwanted photos from my daughter and I still have to figure out how to get rid of them. I still have to learn how to use google drive and few other things like how the sharing works. I use 2 languages and there is no easy and fast way to switch between them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

This Nexus 7 (2nd gen) is a wonderful tablet ! ! I have been looking at tablets for awhile from the cheap off brand to the much better branded products ! ! I am so glad I choose to get a Google Nexus 7 (2nd gen), as soon as I got it it started to update itself. It was up to Android Lollipop the first day ! ! I turned it on a couple of days ago and it informed me it was ready to upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow ! ! That's the nice thing about having a Google tablet, they upgrade long before any of the others. I bought this tablet mainly to play games on and to use as a remote on a Logitech Harmony Home Entertainment Control System. I was going to use my cell phone as a remote on the Logitech system but the screen is so small compared to the Nexus and it is nowhere near as responsive either. I have not set that system up yet but I am sure the Nexus will do excellent for what I plan to use it for ! ! I could have spent a lot less money on a tablet but I didn't want to cheap out on this item and I'm glad I didn't ! ! Every Item I bought for my new Entertainment system I read the reviews and went with the best recommendations and found everything here on eBay at below retail price, except my new HDTV. That was at retail even here on eBay because I went new not refurbished ! ! I just got the TV so now I'm ready to set it all up and dial it in If you are looking for a smaller tablet the Nexus 7 is a really good choice ! I chose the second generation (2013) because it has a much faster CPU in it compared to the first generation model and it's thinner and lighter. I wanted a smaller tablet I could hold in one hand and operate with my other hand the Nexus 7 fits that description. I couldn't do that with a larger tablet so the 7 inch is perfect for that. All the reviews I read said even though this tablet has been on the market for a couple of years it is still the best choice for a seven inch tablet ! ! It's made by Asus for Google and I know Asus makes good products. I'm very satisfied with my purchase of this tablet and would buy another if I needed one ! ! Oh! Great tablet for the price.
I have bought 7 or 8 nexus 7 2nd gen tablets, all used, and they have been great. Two kids used them and they held up fairly well, considering. My Husband and I have been using ours for about 3 years with very little problems. Negative: the kids always destroy the charging ports, but, then you can still charge with a Qi wireless charger. Still the best performance for it's price

I already had one, so I knew what I was getting. If you play Minecraft or watch videos, heavy use, you might get 5 hours. Screen is very good for watching movies. Still a nice tablet
It's four years old but the Nexus 7 2013 still has very good specs ... particularly the screen resolution and brightness. Speed wise, it runs android 6.0 quite well with little lag. Great tablet for the price, good battery life, easy to modify
I was kind of leery ordering a tablet this old, but it ended up being an awesome deal. Everything works great, a little slower than current tablets, but for the price, it is hard to beat. If you are willing to install LineageOS or any other streamlined ROM, then you won't even notice the speed deficit.
