Hawaii Five-0 Complete Series
I already owned the first four seasons of this show, but bought the complete series anyway. The deal I found made it cheaper to go ahead and spring for the complete run than to continue buying the seasons one by one. Fun show with beautiful scenery. Don't know if I'd be as big a fan if I had not lived on the island years ago, back when it was Oahu, but I probably would enjoy it anyway. The packaging is nice, but bulky. The DVDs come in thick books and the discs are lodged in a sort of paper sleeve. Some people have complained about the scratching the discs might incur in taking them in and out of the box. What I did, as I did with my Wild Wild West complete series that had potentially damaging packaging, is I bought some 12-disc DVD cases and stashed the discs in the plastic cases, retaining the original Hawaii Five-0 box for display. By the way, there are 73 discs, not 72. The 73rd is a bonus disc. So the set neatly fills six 12-disc cases, plus one single case for the bonus disc. Twelve seasons, lots of Hawaiian fun viewing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Book 'em Dano!
I forgot how enjoyable this show was. The characters are essentially timeless, as are the stories. Great fun watching these. Due to the era of the show, the picture isn't widescreen, but the old-style picture format is nostalgic while you're watching the shows. The quality of the picture itself is quite good. A very nicely packaged set, with a wave sleeve over the box, and separate boxes for the sets inside, held by ribbons. One of the best of its time
Can't do much better than the original H-50. Some of the guests stars were the who's who of the period. Jack Lord was always a personal favorite; how could Stoney Burke be bad! Another favorite was Richard Denning who. I believe, portrayed the governor. James McArthur was excellent as McGarrets "Danno'. Great cast, and the theme song is, obviously, a classic. Never saw the remake, but I'm sure it pales in comparison to the original. A true classic, and as McGarrett might say "Book it, Danno!"Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Book This While You Can!!!
One of the longest running police series in the history of television. Hawaii Five-0 is one great ride for the viewer. Filmed in Hawaii and starring the imperturbable Jack Lord the Five-0 crew gave as good as they got for twelve action packed seasons. From that opening theme song (which you'll never get out of your head!!) to the end credits it was a class act all the way and audiences loved it. Admittedly it slowed down the last few seasons but series this long always do. Die hard fans like me loved it all the way through and I'm now enjoying watching it again for the first time in (never mind...you don't need to know how many years!!) a long time. I picked it up for $125.00 here on Ebay with free shipping and that my friend is a bargain indeed. I highly recommend it as the shows are excellent transfers and look and sound great on my 4K upscaling TV. If you remember it or are going to be seeing it for the first time you can't go wrong with McGarrett and Crew. Running from 1968 to 1980 they hosted almost all the actors working in that era as guest stars. James MacArthur (Helen Hayes' son) is featured as a regular for instance. Five-O Review
The product is fine. Tapes appear not to be cheap overseas knock-offs (a substantial problem with these older DVD’s) however this was an older version so we were hoping it was before China got into this business “opportunity” too. Five-O is an expensive set to buy compared to other classic series on TV. Honestly it is over priced at least we believe so. But the entertainment is excellent and so far no ‘slow motion sludge’ in the performance of the DVD used (there are many of them it is near to impossible to test all within your 30 day window, you wouldn’t “have a life”.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

I love this series. I was pretty young when it was on back then, so most of the episodes are "new" to me. I love the characters and actors. The story lines are good. There is a lot of action and it just zips along. The scenery is beautiful, as it was filmed in Hawaii. I'm so happy I purchased this set and will be sad when I've seen all episodes, but I can always start over and I probably will.
