Best feature, you can make a cup of coffee as strong or as weak as you prefer. It will actually make a strong cup even when using a K-Cup pod. Extremely easy to use and clean. My only complaint is that they forgot to give it a power on/off switch. A slight inconvenience because you have to plug and unplug the power cord. Once you plug it in, you will be 3-4 minutes from a hot cup of coffee. I bought 3 to give as gifts. All 3 loved it and threw out their other coffee makers. And last, the unit seems to be built to last forever.

The good: The quality of the machine is obvious- Bunn makes good stuff. I use it only for brewing with Melitta dark roast pods, and the flavor is excellent. The pulse brew feature allows the full flavor to be extracted from the pod. The bad: The vibration generated by the internal pump is ridiculous. It will actually vibrate the cup around on the metal grate and moves the coffee maker on the counter. It's noise resonated through the wooden counter and forced me to try to find a resolution. I added some padding to the bottom and put a small square of industrial velcro on the counter where it sits, to keep it fro0m moving. This solved the problem, but it's too bad I should need to go to this extent.

I used to brew a pot of coffee that would last me all day. Now I brew one cup at a time and can do different flavors when I want to change up. I am no longer limited to one type as the versatility of this machine gives me a wider range of options. Whether I want to use grounds, k-cup, tea leaves, or just plain hot water. It is easy to change the heads. The only problem I had was fitting a tall mug under the head. But I found that if I remove the metal piece and put the mug in the tray underneath, it will work.

Looking for a coffee maker offering the convenience of the k-cup system, but concerned about the reliability issues many have had with the Kuerig units, I did some research online and found some highly favorable reviews for this device. Once I started using the unit I realized the favorable reviews were well earned. The maker is very flexible, allowing the use not only of k-cups, but also loose coffee and tea, pods or bags, and plain hot water. The maker is very easy to use and makes an exceptionally flavorful cup of whatever you want to make. The maker is very robustly constructed and appears to be very durable. It is covered by a two year warranty. I has the misfortune to have to call the customer service number due to a self-inflicted problem and the young lady on the phone was friendly and very helpful, giving me a solution to my problem very quickly.Read full review
I and my wife drink coffee and tea our old coffee maker died after two years, so much for K cups. New maker Mr Blank was not making it the coffee seemed not to be fully developed. Jumped online did some research and found the Bunn My cafe unit, comes with all you need to make coffee, tea, etc. Unit needs to have power shut off switch added since home use would not need to be on all the time. Miss the auto timer. What it does do makes one hot full favor coffee at a time, quickly. The extra splash choice gives you richer cup by just pushing it before brewing. Being stainless means it will remain working for years to come?

This personal brewer is the perfect machine for those who want a fresh, HOT cup of coffee every time. I was looking for a single cup brewer that would not only accept k-cups but coffee grounds also. When I saw this had an option for pods and teabags it was like icing on the cake! My mini-Keurig had stopped pumping properly even after using some advice from DIY videos and articles. I am so delighted with this machine. It is - literally - the best coffee maker I have ever had. I am telling anyone who will listen how wonderful this machine is: *First and foremost is the temperature: This makes HOT, aromatic, smooth, flavorful coffee, not the 'really warm', weak coffee produced by most Keurigs I have experienced. *It takes a temperature just below boiling for fully extracted flavor from the coffee. This coffee maker reaches that. *The metal screen grounds basket allows the natural flavor of the coffee oils to make it to the cup. *The drip tray cover comes off allowing a travel mug to fit under the spout. *The water stays heated and is ready immediately. *The machine "sleeps" after some hours for energy conservation, but heats to full temperature in a few minutes. There really isn't anything to dislike but some things that could affect a user's experience do exist. To attempt to give a balanced review, I will try to explain: *So, what was not so great was the initial set up. Easy enough if you carefully follow the instructions. You must fill the reservoir prior to the first use. *You must put-in the amount of liquid you want to come-out with each use. If you want a 6, 10 or 14 oz cup of coffee or tea, you must put 6, 10 or 14 ounces in the easily accessible top chamber. This water replaces the heated water that was in the reservoir. *It is not a silent machine, like a French press. Sounds to be heard: the water boiling, the pumping sound, and a blast of air that pushes the last bit of liquid through. It's not overly loud, it just has sounds like any electric coffee maker. *When brewing directly into a regular cup there are some drip splashes. Easily wiped up. *As with most single cup machines, there is no cup warmer plate. Drink the beverage when it's brewed for freshness. *This is pricier than the Keurig mini, and on par to a bit more for the typical Keurig machine. However, this is a Bunn, a well established, well known coffee brewing brand. However, the quality of the coffee and the variety of uses makes up for this discrepancy. After using the Keurig for just over a year, the first cup of coffee from the Bunn MCU reminded me how flavorful and aromatic home brewed coffee can be. It was as good as the French press I gave up for convenience. I really LOVE my Bunn My Cafe MCU.Read full review
Certainly if you want a good cup of coffee you should consider this product. I bought it because it was rated highest in terms of making a flavorful cup of coffee and I can use ground coffee. I don't like buying the Kcups because of the cost and I wanted to be able to use my favorite ground coffee - Tully's French roast. I've been a coffee drinker since the age of 4 so coffee is a lifelong pleasure for me and flavor out ranks other considerations. Even though this is one of the most expensive brewers that looked at, I'm very glad I got it.

I have tried several systems and set-ups. I even have a coffee service background. I find the best brewed coffee is brewed in a french press. I use the Bunn MC as a hot water machine since it dispenses instant hot water and its at the perfect temp of 190 degrees. Coffee brewers that brew hotter than that cook the coffee which extracts more acids... the difference is huge! I scoop my coffee in the french press and set it under the spout. I press the button and in 3 minutes I push the plunger down... ahhhhh the perfict cup!!!! BTW... Have you looked inside the Keurig machines? If not, go to YouTube and check out some repair videos. For such high priced fancy machines, they have the cheapest parts, fittings and pumps inside.... mostly all plastic. The Bunn MC has a stainless steel boiler tank. BUNN has a history in the restaurant business and their industrial qualities are all represented in the BUNN MC.Read full review

I just HAD to have this machine! I have a larger Bunn and absolutely love it. This machine BUNN MY CAFE MC model is constructed well and looks good. It is noisy, I have to manipulate the pods (to prevent leaking.)It is a bit messy without an exact height mug, and has a metallic odd taste to it after excessive cleaning. The water does not dispense ANY hotter than my Hamilton Beach (which I tested with a thermometer) and it uses a considerable amount more counter space, which would be a reasonable trade off, IF it performed to my expectations. Bottom Line: Although constructed well it does not out perform the much more reasonably priced machines, the water tank reservoir is really not needed and sort of a waste of electricity when my Hamilton Beach dispensed at the same temperature without preheating, accepts much larger and up to 2 pods easily, takes up a lot less space, quieter and much less messy. I will use this, it's functional, and it looks "cool" but I am disappointed in myself actually. I just "had" to have a BUNN. Dollar for dollar I was/am very pleased with my Hamilton Beach. I do love the one cup makers and I enjoy making my own pods. If you have to have a BUNN you will love it. If you enjoy the coffee pods and one cup makers you can get an excellent quality cup of coffee without spending this kind of money.Read full review
I never thought I'd change from my Krupp's machine, but when they started that 2.o nonsense, I did. And I have been VERY pleased with this BUNN. Highly versatile and brews outstanding coffee. Well made. The only complaint -- you have to unplug the BUNN to turn it off (what were they thinking?) However, this is an excellent coffee maker -- highly recommend.
