I have shot this lens inside at a wedding and outside on a sunny day and it's sharp across the board. I was impressed with the sharpness at f/4 and compared to a (Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8) shooting at F/4, the 12-28mm seemed brighter in fact, but equally as sharp. I am happy with the construction, it feels sturdy in hand but not too heavy that you can't carry the thing around. Auto focus is a little slow but at this price range, who can complain about that? Not to mention the AF is accurate and that's what I really need in a lens. Framed out (12mm) at F/8 with the focus just shy of all the way to infinity, I find nearly the entire frame is crisp and in focus which is great for landscapes and real estate, which, if these are your purposes,I would definitely recommend this lens.

This 12-28mm f4 lens is another excellent representative in the line of APS-C lenses that Tokina makes for Canon, Nikon and other cropped-sensor camera bodies. Even though I had read rave reviews, I previously had not been able to use this line - I also have the 11-16mm f2.8 - because I only had full-frame Canon DSLRs, which can utilize only the upper portion of the zoom range. When I added a Fuji XT-3 to my arsenal I immediately purchased my two Tokinas, which I can mount on my Fuji body with a Fringer adapter. I find the 12-28mm zoom range, from wide to moderately-wide, to be very useful for landscape and architectural photography. Its constant f4 aperture is not a drawback at all because I am used to lenses that have f4 as their maximum f-stop, and it generates sharp images with very nice color rendition and contrast. This will be a much-used lens for my travel purposes.Read full review

I haven't fully explored this Tokina 12-28 lens other than inside for portrait and angled room shots as well as a few external house photos, but I must say, I'm impressed with the design and durability. I'm using it on a Canon T6s and it has exceeded my expectations so far. The clarity on both interior low light photos and exterior photos is phenomenal. This will most likely be my go to for a daily lense. And getting it for almost half the price of a new one made it even more of a deal for me.

Versatile focus range, sharp. The only problem is the sun in the frame.

Great lens for the coverage, sharpness and lack of distortion. I use this for landscapes and interior shots where I want the least possible barely distortion. The extra reach from 12 to 28mm is a bonus as a travel and walk around lens. Builf quality feels solid, especially for the money. Ken Rockwell's strong recommendation was right on.
