I have been using the Mahle filters in my Porsche Boxster for years and have always been happy until receiving these. The quality has really gone downhill. I expected German factory quality filters, but these appear to be no different than the ones made in Taiwan or China. In previous Mahle filters there were nice rubber seals and solid end caps as well as a metal insert inside the media. These have a plastic insert and the endcaps are like tissue paper that has been glued onto the media. The boxes they came in look official, but the filters inside look MUCH cheaper ( almost like a Chinese Knock-Off ) . I am not happy at all when I can't trust Mahle for quality parts. I ended up ordering some of the K&N filters and they are 100% better quality in my opinion.

This product is so cheaply made. I was surprised at the quality. I will not buy this product again, and it is expensive. Did not come with a crush washer. Guess crush washers are too expensive now. So very sad to get this product, will change it out at 1000 miles.

Good quality filter for the DIY home mechanic. I change oil every 3K-5K miles well ahead of the recommended Porsche maintenance schedule.
