    Rayovac quit recharable alkalines too soon. Where are they now?

    I had one of these before. Glad to find another one. Also had a different brand charged alkalines. It didn't charge them as good. One improvement that can be made tho, is that if any batteries leak, it could drain better into the bottom instead of tracking onto the circuit board (That's how my old one failed). I like rechargeable alkalines better than NiCd batteries. Rayovac could do pretty well with battery packs for cordless tools.

    Charger has limited use.

    The charger in of itself is fine and does the job it was intended for. However, it appears that Size C and D Rayovac Renewal (rechargeable)m batteries are no longer available. The Rayovac company has not returned my phone call inquiry as to a source for D and C rechargeable batteries. Size AA and AAA can still be purchased.
