Do not let the package box fool you!
Yes, this little amp comes with a very plain card board box, no pictures, no fancy words, in fact there is no word at all. You will never get the "Wow" effect like you open an iPhone, of course you may not realize the price you paid for iPhone box might pay for this little amp. But the little amp's built quality is very good, very clean design, only have two controls--On/Off switch and volume control which is made of brushed aluminum. Comes with instruction which is simple but clear enough. I hooked it up to my iMac USB output and play music off iTunes. The speakers I use are Realistic Minimus-7. I can not think any better speakers than Minimus-7 for the sound quality and size to fit on my computer desk. (Good old Radio Shack). Hook up is simple, and the amp works without any fuss when I turn the switch On. I turned the volume control from 7 o'clock (0) to 10 o'clock position slowly, the sound is clean and clear, but powerful enough to have tight bass punch. Played music for 2 hours, I can tell the sound quality is improving. The amp remains cold as well as the adaptor. It is a perfect amp for small or medium size room. You can hook it up to laptop or desk top. It has Bluetooth connection function, as well as direct input with a 3.5 mm cable (included). I can not see why people spend money on those high priced awful sounding Bluetooth speakers. The setup I spent here is about $50 ($36 for the amp and the speakers about $15 in the garage sale, I am sure you can find the minimus-7 from Craigslist or eBay. No quality control at all.
Inputs on front panel are recessed BEHIND the face plate and not in line with the face plate openings. Yes, it is cheap, but why not assemble it correctly? This DOUK Brand is poor quality all through their product line. Sometimes, it is OK to get junk because, for instance, when I am working on my cars in my garage I am not critically listening to music so who cars if it isn't near perfect? But, when you cannot even get a plug to fit into the thing it is just no quality control. NO QUALITY CONTROL ON DOUK PRODUCTS. Look at the depth of the socket in attached pic: deep and offset from face plate opening. Obviously, no one with eyes looked at it before shipping it to me.

Nice little unit for the price.
It’s a nicely made piece and works well, but no way is this thing 50x2Watts. Maybe 5-10 Watts RMS It has a decent sound tho at 1/2 volume. Overall it works good I just wish it was louder. It came with the power supply and all the wiring so it was worth it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A decent, basic bluetooth amplifier.

Great Amp for outside
I use this amp on my dock. I have 4 speakers in the rafters. It is a great inexpensive solution. Just use an MP3 player or phone. I live on salt water so electronics corrode quickly. I have tried several waterproof amps that cost much more but this does the job. I have it mounted inside a Tupperware box to reduce exposure but it can be easily removed since my last one died when a storm brought the water up to it. All that said, it’s not super powerful. I have ordered a different unit to see if I can get more volume into the yard, although, hooked to an iPod, I can generate more volume than with a iPhone or android phone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
