Having used a lot of different headphones and being an extreme audiophile for quality sound, I really enjoy these! Very comfortable for long time-frame use and comparing them to some other high quality studio monitor headphones, I think these hold up better to "concert pitch (high volume settings) than some other well respected brands.

My trusty Sony studio headphones finally died after 20 years. After doing a good deal of looking at all kinds of different headphones, the CB-1 seemed to be the best option for me. They were highly rated in the reviews and priced very reasonably. I got a great deal on ebay and couldn't be more pleased. I strongly considered getting another set of Sonys just like my old ones as I always really liked them, but thought it might be nice to try something else. I'm glad I did! These are great.

My AudioTechnica 50 series phones finally gave up the ghost with the ear pads breaking down and covering flaking after years of faithful service. Replacement was necessary as my audio workplace does not always allow my JBL monitors to be fired up. At the same time, I decided I needed a less expensive replacement as money is tight. Scouring thru a myriad of offerings I found that the Status Audio CB-1 was receiving solid ratings and had a price I was looking for. While the headphone suspension was a tad tight (I have a big head), it broke in very nicely as far as fit is concerned. The ear pads are well made and comfortable allowing for hours of use w/o fatigue or muscle stress. Recording and mixing with these phones proves to be accurate when I playback my work on the JBL studio monitors. Regarding my professional need, these headphones are a good and proper purchase.Read full review

The Status Audio CB-1's punch way above their weight class. They have good, balanced audio reproduction. Highs are clear and well-articulated, and not sharp/grating/sibilant either. Mids are properly represented with an acceptable amount of detail/texture, no v-shaped signature here. Lows are also properly represented and detailed. However, there isn't much sub-bass at lower volumes. The detachable cable works well, but the socket is somewhat deep, so make sure third party cables are skinny enough to fit. Clamping force is "goldilocks" and won't hurt even for big heads like mine, but it won't stay on if you're lying down. The pleather pads are soft and comfortable, and my ears haven't gotten hot. The build does feel plasticy but it's unobtrusive, and the folding is somewhat convenient even if the earcups sometimes flip inside out. Read full review

These are a steal honestly, sound great and fit pretty nicely. I like how the cable twists into the earpiece at the end so it doesn’t unplug when you’re doing stuff with em. 5/5

These are the best headphones you can buy in this price range. They are VERY well made and have virtually "flat" frequency response. Very similar to the other pair I have that cost me $500. The reviews are right about these!

Pros: -Amazing sound - crispy clear highs - great mids - very clean lows with no distortion - very good noise isolation in my opinion, putting these headphones on and having them at half volume makes you feel like your in your own little box (they get really loud) - very comfortable: i've worn these for hours at a time, layed in bed, fallen asleep with them, and they have never caused fatigue - the metal feels like real enough metal in my opinion, it gets cold in a cold house just like metal, and it looks good to me - this has really improved my listening experience and my producing/mastering experience, its hard to miss and issues in a song with the high quality these headphones provide Cons: - no bluetooth lol that's all I can think of Additional Notes: The cables included are long enough I don't know why you would need anything longer unless you plan on listening from across a room. These are the best headphones I have ever purchased hands down. Definitely the best out of what I've tried in the below $100 price range. Also beats plenty of consumer headphones in the $150-$200 price range. Read full review

Very good headphones, especially for the price. They are not lightweight, but that's why they sound much better than most headphones. I am now using these cans for reference / mixing more than my studio monitors. Very pleased with this purchase.

Can't believe the quality at this price point or higher price point! I use for Roland drums and playing my jam songs through mixer. Unbelievable to this old man. 51 yrs of experience as a musician. 💯

This is a comfortable, closed-back, flat response headphone quite better than expected for its affordable price. It even has swivel earcups. Definitively recommended as a budget monitor headphone.
