Good wireless thermometer.
I have two others and what I like about this model 00754w4 is that you can monitor 3 different places by setting each on a different wavelength - A, B, C settings in the sensor and receiver. I use it to monitor the temperature in the greenhouse, attached headhouse and a separate work room all from inside the house. Very poor accuracy
The accuracy is very poor. With the remote placed near the inside unit in the house, the outside temperature was 10F greater than the inside reading. The inside reading was about the same as my wall thermostat. Placing the remote sensor outside the reading was 15F greater than a Taylor bulb thermometer adjacent to it. Remote reading was 54F while the bulb thermometer showed 29F. Other reviews elsewhere complained of similar inaccuracies. Acurite ran me thru the std checks which I doubted from the onset that would improve the performance. I am an engineer and am knowledgeable as to the checking procedures of instruments.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It took two days for the outside temperature sending unit to calibrate with the base unit. I am use to an atomic clock time with seconds. I used my former weather station to calibrate my watch and other time devices in my home. I was disappointed that this weather station only shows hours and minutes. Weather preparedness
There is no doubt that the weather can change drastically from day to day and there is nothing worse than getting outside and discovering that you dressed to light or to heavy for start of a new day. This little device is accurate and gives you a quick glance at the weather before you start getting dressed for the day. So far it has proven accurate and has been a great help to my wife, and me, as we have dress for the day. ACU-RITE Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer
I live in a mobile home in Colorado and winters can be brutal here. People that live in mobile homes like myself face the challenge and danger of water pipes freezing under the house. When outside temperatures get below freezing it is wise to drip faucets. I bought this indoor/outdoor thermometer so I can monitor the temperature under the house. Last year, I dripped faucets every time the outside temp was near the freezing point...which from December to February was almost every day. I hung the sensor under the house near the majority of the water distribution and now I am able to know what the temp is under there. It's very handy because we have had quite a few nights so far this season where the outside temp was in the low teens but the temp under the house has never dipped lower than 36. The outside sensor has a loop so it can be hung on a nail or hook. This keeps anything from touching the sensor and affecting it's accuracy. I verified it's accuracy against 3 different thermomeers and have complete confidence that it is on point! The inside unit has an easy to read display. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. It will save money and the environment from running unnecessary excess water to prevent water pipe freezes.
