Boyesen's patented dual-stage design incorporates a specially shaped top reed and a ported bottom reed The top reed is lightweight and resilient for crisp throttle response at partial throttle or low RPMs. The stiffer, bottom reed is ported to provide maximum flow and horsepower at higher RPMs More Air Flow. The dual-stage design allows you to replace your stock reed stop with a Rev-Plate which permits the reeds to open freely and function efficiently More Air Velocity.

    Reed into it !!!

    These reeds are of outstanding quality and I already have used a set on another machine I have (1980 IT-425 Yamaha).... The power increase was most noticeable at mid range and up on top... Re-adjustment of the carb. was necessary, and after doing those adjustments, the bike seems quicker and even starts easier.... Worth every penny!!!!

    Upon receiving the reeds i instantly thought they were made very well. I can't really say how good they are because after putting the new reeds on my engine is not getting any gas. The carb is clean si I'm not quite sure where the problem lies. Overall I would recommend them.
