The grips definitely felt quality, and after about 500mi I believe they are. The D-shaped rubber housing at the inner end of the clutch side grip definitely secures it from sliding without using glue (big plus). On my Sportster, the throttle side was a little trickier. I strongly recommend test fitting before full tightening down the throttle side controls, as the throttle boss was not in the correct position after assembly (it sat too high). I had to break it all back down, loosen the Phillip's screw that keeps the boss in place, and adjust it down twice to get the right position. You've been warned. Otherwise, they feel great in my hands and the throttle boss is definitely a welcome upgrade.
These are not soft grips. They are very hard. Also for me they were very short. My hand took up the whole grip. Other grips are longer and much softer.
