Great product with side benifits.
pretty simple installation ,hardest part was removing the existing baffles on my V&H big shot pipes they had been on for a couple of years and were sooted in pretty good , used some WD 40 let soak over night and wiggled them out and the new ones slipped right in. They sound great and reduced the snap crackle and popps along with increasing throttle response on my Honda VTX1800! Great quality and fit, but by no means quiet
I was expecting to have a little reduction in the db level, but seem just as loud. It did take the raspy sound out and give it a "richer" sound. Works great with Vance and Hines longshots- I put these on my 2003 road star to quiet them down they didn't have any baffles in them - these did the trick, they have a nice low rumble but still growl if ya give it enough throttle.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Baffles VTX 1300R V & H

This are high quality... nicely packaged... But I did not use them. I bought a V&H shortshot exhaust and from the reviews I was expecting it to sound too loud and to need the baffles... Quite baffle well not really
The baffle reduces the deciible by 2-3, so in my opinion it's still loud but it seems to remove the higher pitched sound so you get deeper rumble now.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Vance and Hines quiet baffle review.
I recommended this baffle only because they are likely what a lot of riders want. These baffles do reduce the exhaust sound to a more acceptable level but they are by no means quiet. The sound is more mellow and I don't notice any power loss. If I had it to do over again though, I would definitely buy the Super Quiet baffles. Well worth it
I have a Sportster 1200 48, and found the Vance and Hines Short Shots to be way too loud. Whilst the bike is still loud, the quiet baffles have taken the high end sting out of the sound, making it a far more comfortable experience for me....
