The Flex does what I basically wanted it to do. I still am learning how to use some of the functions. Two problems...the band is not secure. The design of it is so bad in that it does not hold together, a bad design flaw. I purchased silicone bands to make sure it does not fall off my wrist and these hold it securely (also on EBay). There is no way I would wear it without this extra protection. Also, the lack of instructions on the various functions is non-existent. You need to go on line and download the manual or better yet view You Tube videos and peruse the various chat rooms which are a great help. For these reasons I could not rate it 5 stars.

I received my Fitbit Flex today. There were NO instructions - no fold-out with instructions, no booklet with instructions. There were no indications which website to use for said instructions. Also: the "dongle" said to accompany the Fitbit in the package: not there. Nada, nothing, zip. So unless the sender can provide these essentials, I'll be returning this item. The box was horrible - HORRIBLE! - to open. Terrorist-proof, as my husband and I joke about such packaging. Sealed as if this piece of plastic were Fort Knox. So I don't have an intact box anymore. But I will STILL be returning the item.

I love my new Fitbit. Best features are steps, distance, sleep tracker, and vibrating alarm. On the negative side and this one thing keeps it from being 5 star is that it is too difficult to put on wrist. The grooves are hard to fit. My husband even had a hard time putting it on my arm. So what I do is make it loose enough that I can slip it off without having to put it back on.

Everything works great except the band. It is a pain to put back on after taking off. I have had it come off many times with the slightest touch. I just ordered an aftermarket pocket clip holder, which is similar to my old fitbit one. I never had to worry about it coming off, or being a pain to put on. Otherwise, I've been using a fitbit for over three years, and am happy with the concept of how it works.

I bought this FitBit for my wife and she loves it. I was originally looking to buy her the plu/purple one but found this slate one for a better price. She really enjoys having the feedback that motivates her to make her workouts enjoyable and gives her additional goals to meet. Unlike some other activity bands, this Fitbit flex does not include a watch feature. The indicators are 5 led lights to show charge and vibration to tell you you've met yoru goal. Everything else takes place online on the fitbit website or whatever apps you may link your Fitbit to provide data. Overall very happy!

It is fantastic for the purpose I bought, a silent wake up alarm in the morning. It vibrates on my wrist and I can wake without getting the whole family up early. I only wish it were easier when adding food. Would love for it to have access to caloric and carbohydrate charts so I don't have to know the amounts. Other wise it counts my steps accurately. Don't know about how accurate it is to measure the amount of sleep I get.

At my gym I borrowed someone's Apple Watch and it did not have as generous of a calorie count Also I think the Apple Watch 2 is more reliable than the fitbit. The Fitbit can come apart and is not as sturdy but again, it is not as expensive. Gym gear friends that count calories and steps say that they find the Apple Watch much more productive than this. I am waiting for the Apple Watch to go on sale. I understand that once they come out with the Apple Watch 3 it will. It' lightweight. I won't go into features here my time is limited today. Many people like the Fitbit but for me , if it's not as accurate then why bother with it? I don't like being too delusional. Sorry if you don't like my review. This one fell apart a lot so I would have to reassemble and I almost lost part of it. I can only speak to this one, not sure if they are all that way.Read full review
