  • Perfect rebuild of factory part.

Short - Exactly what I needed. Extremely happy. Lights are nice and bright, the variable sweep is nice. I'd say it is as good if not better than factory. Long - I've had my '71 Cuda for about 2 years and I didn't do the restoration and some of the items were not done quite right. Therefore, while I've had it for 2 years I have only driven it about a dozen times as I am putting it through it's paces. Drive, learn, fix. Drive, learn, fix, repeat. Last drive was the first drive to a car show. It ended at 8pm and with Daylight savings almost over it was starting to get dark. Well, that make it the first time driving in the dark. Low and behold I had no dash lights. Moved the dimmer all over and nothing. Over the next few days, I took the dash apart to get it out and the spring had popped out on the old dimmer. I put it back and gave it a few twists and it popped out again. Thus I bought this unit. It looks identical to the original (obvious dates were different) but in all other aspects it looked perfect. Put it in and with the dash apart and still no lights. Then I took an alligator clip jumper from the frame of the car to the light bar and low and behold I had dash lights!!! Took the jumper off and re-assembled and I still had lights (with no jumper). Perfect.

  • Challenger Dimmer switch

We changed out the dimmer switch ( dash lights) And all the dash lights work, even though one mechanic told me I needed a complete rewiring and wanted to charge $3,000, all I needed was a $90.00 dimmer switch.
