Good build quality, lackluster performance
This seemed like a good deal since most other fume extractors are much more expensive. While the unit is well put together the fan is incredibly weak and can barely pull the solder away unless it’s right over where you’re working. Good value for the money
Unit was larger than I expected with the face of the fan 9"x9". Relatively quiet for its size. Good pull-through. I mounted it directly above my solder station (about 28" above the area where I solder) and it pulls the fumes very well. Needs a stronger fan motor
It is built structurally fine and should last a long time. I don't think the fan motor is strong enough for large amounts of smoke or at least it wasn't doing well when I used it one foot away. I guess if you use it right over the spot you're working on it would be fine. But, I purchased this fan to send the smoke out a window.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

High quality, does the job

Good quality construction, poor performance
The construction of this unit seems to be pretty good. The stand works fine, the on/off switch is in a convenient location and the filter seems to be adequate.
