They sound great, the build quality is excellent, they really feel solid. They are a bit heavy and stiff, I haven't used them as much because of this but I assume that if I used them more they would loosen up a bit. You will most likely need an AMP / DAC to drive them, I read a lot of reviews of people saying they are only 80 ohms so your PC should be able to power them sufficiently, but I found that this was not the case, they were too quiet, so I had to order an AMP / DAC, which worked. If you are looking to get a good pair of headphones, these are a good option.

Crystal clear highs, extended bass deep into the 20hz range, reasonable isolation of outside noise. The 80ohm version sounds similar to the 250ohm model but works better with a phone. Comfortable and at the price you'll get many years (my last pair lasted 14 years) of use with replacement ear pads easy to find.

Sturdy, made-in-Germany construction (also have a pair of DT880s last a decade+ without issue). Comfy. Detailed and moderately boosted bass (<100hz), scooped and slightly lacking mids, bright and clear treble. Pretty wide sounding for a closed headphone. Love electronica and shiny studio production, not so good for filthier, sludgier rock/metal where they can turn muddy (DT880's do it better). "Portable", but you'll still want an amp between your phone to sound best/get enough volume for quiet recordings (check out the Hidisz Sonata DAC USB cable for <$40 USD). Overall great value for $200 AUD.

Working from home I wanted a set that would be comfortable over long periods. The 770s are incredible. Crisp treble and brilliant mids with a nice punch base. Base isn't as deep as the M50x but everything is so much clearer. Paired with a budget DAC these are definitely worth the hype behind them!

Comfortable and great sounding. Previously owned ATH-M50 and these are slightly more comfortable (better headband adjustment) and just as good for long listening sessions. I initially compared the two for sound profiles and the M50 had slightly more bass while the DT770 had some higher treble. I've noticed less of the treble after a week, whether that is me having gotten used to them or a break-in period, I'm not sure.
