Another step up in the series. The v8’s sound fantastic through a decent stereo and hair raising through decent headphones. The Bathurst track is nicer to drive through the cutting and your car doesn’t lift off across reid park. You can get around forrest elbow a little quicker than in reality tho. The rest of the tracks are pretty good, but the the fast kink in the Adelaide track is still wider than the real thing. Some of the dirt racing’s actually not too bad and there’s plenty of different racing and lots of tracks in the game. The AI isn’t that intelligent. You get into less trouble if you qualify up the front. And damage comes easily which probably makes you race cleaner and overtake etc. with more caution. Overall it’s one of the greats on the PS2 platform.
