Often viewed as one of the best or the best game in the series by fans. Dragon Quest VI along with Dragon Quest V were games that Enix never released in the west on their original platforms the Super Famicom aka the Super Nintendo. This was due to Dragon Warrior I-IV not selling well in the west. Dragon Quest VI on the Nintendo DS is the final game of the remake trilogy of Dragon Quest on the Nintendo DS. This game along with V and IV were remade using the game engine of Dragon Quest VII or Dragon Warrior VII as it was known in the west. Gameplay wise in terms of controls and mechanics nothing has changed since the release of the other two remakes of IV and V. And that will be viewed as a good thing to returning players who played IV and V with this familiarity it will not be difficult to jump into Dragon Quest VI coming from IV or V. Now for the graphics the game obviously is still using the game engine from Dragon Quest VII or Dragon Warrior VII in the west. Akira Toriyama the creator of Dragonball did the character artwork for the Dragon Quest series along with the widely popular and revered Chrono Trigger. Is this game good? Yes if your a fan or JRPG's and Dragon Quest is it worth the obscene high value????????????? ???????????????????????????????? The answer is a resounding no. The other 2 remake trilogy games in the series are going for a reasonable price on the online market; However VI is going for roughly 65 and above which is ridiculous.Read full review

Game cartridge looked great, worked fine and the box art looked legit. A little shorter than the original DS box art but it’s negligible. Awesome!

One of the best games in the DQ series! A later DS game with excellent graphics and features.

I’m so glad I was able to find this case for sale. It allowed me to buy the actual game for a low price, then combine it with this case. They look great together on my shelf with the other Dragon Warrior/Quest games. I love this game series and am so happy I got this one!

This is a pretty good classic JRPG experience, not a flashy game by means, the graphics won't blow away anyone, buts its still a good looking game for a 16 bit remake. The gameplay is your basic bread and butter turned base battles, which are fun and fast, nothing innovative, but still solid. The story is also straightforward which is a good thing, nothing convoluted at all.
I am a 59 year old video game dinosaur but I still like playing RPG games like this and also paper mario. It helps keep this ole mind sharp. The various types of dialogue is pretty funny, and the dream world concept is pretty cool too. I recommend this game very highly.
great game remake of classic snes rpg It was really neat. Just like the old one. I have not beat it yet but I hope to complete in due time. If you liked the snes version translated by dejap then you might not like this version. I used to dream about playing this thing on gba but I guess it had to be for the ds. It may not be as good a translation as dejap but either way it's good
It's not a good value *ONLY* because I bought it years later secondhand, lol. Works absolutely fine.
