Looked small when opened, however when the solar unit was connected to the cigarette plug it generated a charge even in doors. The charge indicator light was strongly lit in shadow so should do a good job in full sunlight. There are 4 rubber suction cups that attach to a flap that is behind the solar unit to affix it to the windscreen. There may be issues with these as there is not much space for the cup to reach the window surface. Direct to battery clamps are provided that are made of light weight tinned metal. Ok for automotive and covered areas, but not for exposed marine/boat environments. Users should upgrade these to marine quality stainless steel to prevent rust or wash thoroughly after use in these environments. There is no clearly marked "ipx rating" of waterproofing on any packaging or the unit itself so get it wet at you own risk.Read full review

Not waterproof at all. Instructions say so. Requires hiding from elements with a clear waterproof cover if not used within a vehicle. Must be unplugged prior to starting engine. Otherwise works fine.

It arrived fast, work well and is better than the last one I bought. I was skeptical initially.
