Easy to install and works great, but still having issues receiving 1 local channel (ch 4 in DFW area) on one of my 2 antennas. The pic still freezes only on this one channel, but I am only experiencing this issue with antenna # 2. I have a fairly long run from the source to the TVs on this antenna (probably about 40-50 ft), so I think this is the issue. If I move the antenna closer to the TVs and shorten the cable runs a bit, I think this will solve the problem with Ch 4 on antenna # 2. I purchased a 2nd antenna because I have 5 TVs to supply (the manufacturer recommends a max of 4 TVs per antenna). Antenna # 1 supplies 3 TVs (this is the one with the shorter cable runs. Reception is great on all channels, including Ch 4) and antenna # 2 supplies 2 TVs (this is the one with longer runs that still has issues with Ch 4). Antenna # 1 is closer to the TVs with shorter cable runs and reception on all local channels is great. Both antennas are mounted in my attic and I do not have solar barrier installed under the decking of the roof. Read full review

I bought this with the idea that I would replace my current DIRECTIONAL antenna (Lava HD-2605) with this OMNI-DIRECTIONAL antenna. I put it all together (pretty easy), but upon installation on my antenna tripod (approx 30ft from ground-level on my roof), the reception of any channels was actually worse than what I was already using. So, I had to trudge back up my roof and uninstall this and reinstall my old antenna. All this being said, I live in a very challenging area for TV reception, but unfortunately (1)this didn't perform as I had hoped and (2) I bought it from an eBayer that doesn't take returns. So, kinda burned on 2 levels. :-( I think there are much better antennas out there than this (and the HD-2608, for that matter), so the search continues. Needless to say, I would not recommend this antenna if you live in a mild to moderately signal-challenged area.Read full review

We just installed it, which was easy to do by following the emailed instructions in addition to the ones that were included. The extra coax was a great addition and all the parts needed were supplied. You will need a compass and a FCC report or Rabbit Ears report using your address to optimize reception. RabbitEars provided a channel number guide/map. You will also need to follow the setup menu provided on your TV. We got 15 channels covering most of the stations we normally watch that are not "cable". So far so good!

About 50 from our 'local station's. Mounted about 8 feet above the lawn, and we have a slight hill to get over plus some buildings and trees. We pick up 20 channels, only about 7 to 14 if we have it in the house. You do have to play inside on how and where to place it. Outside you do not need to turn it. We prefer it to one with rotor and having to adjust it for towers in different directions. Good product. Also connected it to four set amplifier, it works great.

Very easy to set up. If turned just the right way, can get channels 85 miles away. I had to "aim" it to get the channels 40 miles away in a different direction...when turned where could get the 85 miles away ones, the others would break-up or not be there. I said "Yes" to does it perform well because I was able to get the distant Channels but had hoped it would do so in all directions.

I am 14 miles away from the nearest TV station and 22 miles away from the farthest TV station. I installed this antenna about 25 feet above the ground and installed brand new RG6(approximately 35 feet) co-ax cable between the antenna and an amplifier which is in the basement. The antenna amplifier is a proven unit which, when hooked up to my huge old fashioned antenna, performs well in providing a more than adequate signal to three TV's. When I hooked up the lava to the amplifier (hooked up the black LAVA unit to amplifier instead of to TV) all I would get is picture tear-out and bad reception, Based on my application, the unit performed badly. The only reason that I bought LAVA HD 8008 is because my neighbors were on me about detracting from the neighborhood by having my monstrosity of an antenna on the roof. So, in conclusion, I can't give a good rating to an antenna that doesn't perform in my application.Read full review

It is light weight and easy to assemble. After mounting it on the roof, I attached the coax to the TV without the power amplifier. I got 2 stations from a source about 15 miles away. After putting the amplifier inline, I got 32 stations, the furthest being 40-50 miles away. There are a number of other stations about 70-80 miles away, but they would not come in. My experience is that its range is less than 70 miles, depending on terrain. The 40' coax and 4-wat splitter were nice additions. I made use of both.

I found the Lava to be a quality made product, and assembly is quick and easy. In fact, these were the reason for my choice. However, I was somewhat disappointed in the number of channels. Most received channels were UHF with clear picture and sharp audio. Local channels were a problem. Living in close proximity to an Interstate highway makes reception dicey. I will try moving it around to different locations in the attic to see if that will improve reception.

I bought this antenna a while ago ( probably 2 months ago), It took over 2 weeks to arrived to Canada. It was very simple to put the parts together same with the installation. I didn't have any mayor problem with the signal. My place is very close to the CN Tower ( Toronto) and I get pretty much between 30 to 40 channels. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Easy set up. Light weight. Has great picture plus provides channel, schedule and show info. Picked up 40 channels 30 are of interest in Columbus Ohio area, I'm 60 miles south. I only have it hooked up on one TV for now. I have temporally installed 10ft high might try to raise some, to see if I can gain more channels in that 70 to 125 mile range. No complaints so far.
