Reliable large capacity drive for storage.
I have a number of these "Green" drives and they work great for large capacity storage, in conjunction with an SSD for a boot drive. They are relatively energy efficient, cool and quiet. They are reasonably fast for a mechanical drive, but can't match the speed of the faster and more expensive "Black" drives, etc. The "Green" drives have now been discontinued and have been replaced with "Blue" drives.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Best of breed.
I have now purchased 12 wd red and green 4tb drive over the last year and am replacing 6 2 tb drives i have had for over 9 years running all the time. I have not had a failure. The 2 seagate drives i purchase only lasted 2 years between them and had surface flaw. I will only purchase WD drives for my NAS units.
