Construction and materials seem pretty good and in its price range you won't find a better "new" saber. however its still very much like swinging a crowbar compared to ANY antique sabers. flicking the blade is an idea... not something you can actually do with this. Past the first foot, the blade is nearly twice as thick as a 1796 light cavalry saber should be. I really like that it is 7mm thick at the base which is historically accurate but it should be less than 4mm by the middle of the blade and around 2mm for the last 6 inches. At least it can be modified thinner.
