A great alternative to Inkjet printing
It took about 5 minutes to setup the printer on our network and 5 minutes to set up our 4 computers to print on the device (2 ethernet desktops and 2 wifi laptops, all using Lubuntu). We don't print much but we need our printer to be ready at all time just in case. Contrary to all our past inkjet printers, the ink does dry and the device has not failed producing very good printouts. So far, we did not have to change the toners so I cannot judge using refilled cartridges ( a big no no on inkjet printers if you want to maintain a consistent print quality). The price of this (used) printer was less than an regular inkjet printer with a set of replacement cartridge so my only regret so far is not to have purchased this printer a couple of years ago.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A legacy printer that still pulls its weight.
This printer is a replacement for the same model. Though 11 years old, I elected to try to find a replacement rather than a new (or newer) model. My experience is that older HP's (like the classic HP Laserjet II & III printers) held up mechanically, were more reliable (over time) and easier to maintain than newer models so I decided to simply replace mine (it experienced hardware failure) if possible. This printer was a snap to set up (switch out cables and load ink cartridges). Since I already had the driver for it loaded all I needed to do was connect the network cable, enter the IP address and I was up and running. Great Printer
Great Printer so far! We bought one of these for our winter home down south last year and when out HP Laser 2600N started having a problem we decided to buy another HP 1518N The one from this vendor cam incredibly well packed with a Warranty and is as like-new as I've seen. We popped in a set of budget toners, went online for software for our PC laptops running Win 7 and Win 10 and were up and running on our network (Printer wired to our router, and the laptops on WiFi to the same network and we were up and printing brilliant color prints and photos. Great refurbish work on a great printer.
I had the same printer for many years and it finally developed some sort of paper handling problem. Since I had the toner that was in my old unit and a spare set of toner cartridges it made sense to replace it with the same model of printer. The replacement printer came quickly and works great. It was packed so that there would be no damage in shipping. It is better than buying a new model since third party toner cartridges can be used at an affordable price.
