with all of the cpu's I have changed over the years arctic mx4 is the absolute best, its easy to use and it works very well at what it does transferring heat to the heat sink!. my favorite for half a dozen years or so!.

I think it's gonna be alright.
Yes it does work as good as Arctic Silver 5. I just started using the MX-4 thermal paste so I wasn't sure how well it would work. So far I can't complain about it. The central processors multiple sensors have readings below 40C for most of the readings. That's while just watching internet video's. The main CPU cores, package, and the CCD #0 are the highest temps now at 40-50C not gaming with the highest temps reaching up into the 70's with the CCD being the hottest at 76.0C. So nothing is going in to the 80C range anymore, it was reaching that before applying the new paste. These temps were recorded while running Minecraft on a 4K display and internet video on a smaller 2nd monitor in 1080. Solid 76.0C under high graphical load, not a degree higher. The GPU is still using whatever was on it and it is hitting 69.8C and 82C on the hot spot. I'll have to try this MX-4 stuff on the GPU next time I break it down to clean the fans, maybe it will help lower those GPU numbers.

Does fairly well.
Stuff gets the job done. It works particularly well on a cpu that has a heat spreader. If it is put directly on a high temp high tdp die, then it might not feel quite as great, but on lower a temp heatspreader- this stuff does really fine.
