The Garmin 520 plus is an awesome cycling computer the only drawback is that on the bar mount they only give you two rubber sizes very thin and super thick. they need to have another one in between those two to fit a wider range on road bike handlebars. I am using a Ritchey handlebar that is double butted in the center where to stem fits over the handlebar. Also the Garmin does not show you your current average speed during your ride, but will upload it once your done with your ride and you sync it to your computer or strava.

Seems good at this moment. Will have to test it for a thousand KMs or so. This also comes with a handlebar mount. I didn't know that so I bought another one. Edit: Product's Bluetooth system does not function. Will not pair with power meter or phone

I bought this as a replacement for my (ancient) Garmin 510. The 520 Plus that I bought was a refurbished item. But it looks brand new and unused. So far, I have been using it like a 510. I'm currently using it with basic info - power, speed, cadence, HR, time, and distance. There are so many new features on the 520 Plus compared to the old 510 that I haven't used them yet. Currently, the new feature that I'm using is the power FTP data. Also like seeing the full recovery time it will take after a workout. There are still many things to see and use with this unit. I'm very happy with the purchase and the features of this unit.

Love this thing. Granted, it is my first ever "smart" cycling computer, and I was already acquainted with the Garmin-verse, but it has every feature I would want, very customizable yet easy to use. Some reviews downgrade it due to lack of touch-screen, but I'm fine with buttons. I'd be concerned about trying to use a small touch screen while riding, buttons much more positive.

All the best features for a gps cycling computer for a low price. Worked well even in areas with poor connectivity. Battery life was good.

Just learning how to use the 520 Plus, but so far it has been a big improvement over my last computer. Loads of info once you learn how to use it.

520 is a very good bike computer with many usable features. Only downside is they made some of the configuration a little over complicated in my mind. Takes a while to learn your way around the menus.

Tons of data for the price Button interface works fine for me Screen is easy to read Connect is a great place to aggregate fitness data for free (once you buy Garmin devices) I use it with HRM, Power Meter, and Indoor cycling

The basic Garmin 520 interfaces with cadence, heart rate, and wheel speed. The included map makes this unit special. There was a map update on first use. I also used it on my winter bike without wheel speed and cadence sensors. The GPS/GLONAS provided speed without a wheel speed sensor. I recommend the Garmin 520 style with switches (820 and other 800's include touch screen).

I bought this computer for my Trek Madonne, I was between this computer and the new Pioneer, and after some research I did the right things chosing this Garmin. Visibility is superb, does everything I need, accurate and integration with my lights and Strava. Battery life is so good charged it the first did I have done so far 5 rides and still has battery. I like the fact that is not touch screen. Totally recommended. The strap is to protect the computer from a loss in case it looses itself or an accident. I saw a review online the guy not even knew what the strap is for
