Lightweight, easy to use, extra long lead.
This iron is perfect for people who sew. Seams need to be pressed as you go and it is so much easier to use this iron than a traditional one that needs to be stood up on its end each time you finish a section. With this iron it is just a matter of moving it off the fabric and quickly bringing it back to where it is needed. It really is a great time saver. Also the very long lead that it comes with it is an advantage - at least in my case as I need to make sure the lead is placed out of the reach of my small dog! This Oliso smart iron has all the features I'm looking for in a great iron. Heats up quickly, I can use tap water for the steam no problem. It has feet that come out when you let go of the iron so it automatically lifts off the pressing surface to prevent scorches. I don't need to use an extension cord anymore for it has a 3.7 m long cord which pivot 360° suitable for right and left handed user. I have only used it once so far and more to go.

My Oliso is great. Its not as light as my old iron but I think that makes it a lot easier to get really nice pressing for my quilts. The automatic lift can be switch off for those that prefer a more traditional iron but it doesn't take very long to get used to the iron lifting by itself. It also comes with a side fill which is really useful because you get a more accurate view of how much water you actually have in the iron. Great iron, Great feet!
So far, the iron is definitely living up to the hype. It IS a bit heavier than most similar irons, but that would be due to the special feet. They are great! When the iron is switched on, it works as a normal iron. Lift your hand away from the iron, and the feet drop down straight away. Such a simple safety feature that really works.
