Because it is just what we wanted. We visited our nearest appliance repair shop and they didn't go out of their way to get us this particular part, but they did manage to sell us the complete unit - oh how we should have used eBay!!

The plastic connector on the lint filter bag that clips into the 'frame filter' (or long plastic part the cup sits in) is a different shape to the original and doesn't take much for it to become disconnected. It works but I don't believe the part is genuine and I'm just waiting for the day to come where it comes loose during a cycle.
