Power door convenience
I have a very dogs, one has had absolutely no problems with his sensor, however, my other more active dog has had one lost because of activity, two failures because of water damage, including one that was suppose to be water proof. Otherwise, the power door works wonderfully and gives my dogs the freedom to come and go to the back yard at will. The product works as it should. I think it is more expensive than it needs to be. I have purchased a few over time and now close to the cost of a new door and collar. The batteries have a reverse polarity so you are forced to spend more money on batteries. Dog life simplified
This collar system combined with an automatic door opener has made the lives of our four dogs so much more convenient. They are no longer dependent on us to open doors to let them out to play, toilet, lounge in the sun or come inside if the weather changes. We couldn't be more pleased with the investment in both the door and the collars. We would advise removal of the collar if your dogs are going to swim in salt or fresh water, however the collars are fine with rain and a wet dog. You need it so you have no choice.
Water resistant, NOT... Door will not work without it, so you keep replacing it. I recommend buying many extras. I've purchased in excess of 30 collars and will keep buying until I can find a better door. They aren't cheap, not to mention the batteries as well. This collar system needs improving.
This collar is a necessity to work the door. This is my 7th collar in 3-4 years of door ownership. Plastic clips break , no leash or tag attachment and even with new batteries inserted the collar can just no longer work???This company needs to improve this item, many com[plaint on the review of this item.
