    I LOVE Poldark!!

    This series is incredibly well-done! It is set in Britain after the Revolutionary War, and has breathtaking scenery and complex characters. I love the main character, Ross Poldark. He is one of the greatest fictional men ever written. The actor who plays him is spot-on, not to mention SO good-looking! All the other characters are well fleshed-out too, and they just become a part of you. Excellent!!!

    Fantastic

    I love BBC Masterpiece. This show is set in Colonial Times. The actors are well chosen for their parts and the show is engaging! Ross Poldark returns to his home in Britain after the Revoltionary War to rebuild a lost estate. He befriends and helps all the poor souls around him and finds friendship, love and meaning in his own life. I watched the entire series 3 times in 3 weeks. Very engaging.

    Engaging Period Drama.........

    We only watch one episode at a time and are now up to seven... this way we look forward the more and savor each episode. The storyline and characters are engaging and each drew us in from episode one. We miss Downton Abbey and keep our eyes peeled and ours ears open for engaging period pieces. This one is a keeper!

    Enjoyable romp. Aidan Turner excellent in part although I still think Robin Ellis and Angaharad Rees suited the characters of Ross and Demelza better in the previous series. Still the new actors did a decent job. Scenery, costumes and period sets were superb.

    Loving every episode

    My wife and I watched every episode and thought, wait, we have to watch them again at least one more time. It's not a high-budget series, but it is a very good story of simpler times. Kind of hard for us Americans to catch all British slang, but closed captioning fixes that easily. Can't wait for season 4.
