Fits 1986 FLHT/C paniers perfectly.
Arrived on time & packaged safely. Kit contains spacers, latches, chrome locking pieces & backing with screws. As pictured though, only one piece of the dark plastic the hook goes through. Make sure you start the screws straight as they have to cut the actual threads. If you were to start crooked, The screws would bind & likely snap before taking up the slack. This product is a waste of money and time.
The latches were not tapped for the screws and the claimed self tapping screws would not start in the latch and this came with no instructions of any kind. I tried to tap one of the latches and when I snugged the screw in it the screw snapped off. I used a couple of the parts from the new kit with my old latch to get it together, We'll see how it holds up. Bottom line is this is not worth the hassle.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

just as good as OME/one draw back easy fix
Excellent... very pleased... only thing you have to do is use #6 sheet metal screws 3/4 inch for the ones further back and 1 inch that has the locking latch.. instead of screws in kit. there aren't threads the screws are kinka like cheap self tappers that expand the hole they go into. (if you can get them started).. bad design.. the #6 sheet metal screws work 100% better go in nice a tight without a problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not happy
I did receive these latches in a very timely manner. When I went to install them I removed the old ones first. When I went to put the new ones on, I couldn’t get the bolts to start threading. After looking closer, none of the four places (two on each part) on the parts were threaded. Luckily I work in a machine shop and have the tools to thread these myself, but only after I had to put the old ones back on and wait two days to get into the shop to thread them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

dood price but poorly designed
the latch comes with blank screw hole that you have to use the screws to tap threads in them you have to be very careful not to strip out the blanks since you have very little to self tap it would have been nice if they came with instructions with the thread size it would have been a lot easier to use a tap if I knew the thread sizeVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
