I warily dumped a top end Nikon and a bunch of lenses to switch to the Fujifilm, there was no need to worry though, I had owned a smaller Fujifilm briefly and this convinced my Nikon journey was at an end. Handling the camera for the first time was an absolute joy, retro style dials on top, lightweight and that image quality, why had I been lugging a heavy camera with a flapping mirror and shutter and lenses around, when I am getting the same or better quality from a smaller sensor? The Nikon was a superb camera with untouched low light capability and with quality lenses but this camera was like a breath of fresh air, its a joy taking pictures again if you know what I mean. If you are thinking of ditching a Canikon for one of these, do it!, you wont be disappointed, its a smaller, lighter system with superb quality lenses to back it up, also there are regular firmware updates from Fuji, go for it!Read full review

I've never been a Fuji user so my expectations were high having read practically everything I could about the Fuji X-T1 and in particular, it's film simulation modes and the X-Trans II sensor. Well, I haven't been dissapointed. Firstly, it's handling is superb, everything just in the right place. I added a battery grip to mine and that not only doubled the battery life but also added an enormous amount of useful functionality when shooting in portrait mode, eg in the studio. As cameras go, it's the perfect size for my hands and grip. It's not light, my Lumix GX-80 is way lighter but even so, it doesn't feel overly heavy. I used it yesterday without a strap and with the battery grip attached for about 2 hours with no ill effects. A good strap will help though. Although it has no touch screen, all of the menu settings and functions are easily accessible and it's easy to customise. One real bonus is the huge EVF screen which is really bright and clear. With so much real estate it's easy to compose your shots. Coming from the Lumix GX-80 and Nikon D600 this has been hugely beneficial. Overall, it's an amazing camera and I highly recommend it.Read full review

Having ditched my Nikon full frame and prime lenses, I was concerned that I may have made an error in trying to lower the massive weight of my kit. My fears were unfounded. The cameras instant and easy access to all settings made adjustments a breeze compared to the nested menu system of the old design. The quality of the newer lenses is outstanding. With weather resistance and beautiful build quality it has brought the joy of photography I had when I was younger. I am now taking better pictures than I have ever done before. I use the 16mm f1.4, 35mm f2, 56mm f1.2 and am staggered by the way the images are processed by the camera even in the jpegs. Friends who see my latest photographs are always asking which camera I am using now. The only disappointment I have is that there won't be a B&W Acros film simulation for this model as it hasn't got the pixel size to handle this wonderful film simulation. Many say they love the retro look of the camera but I believe it has been designed not just to have that look but this design of camera is timeless and should be continued not the current plastic blobs produced by many mainstream camera suppliers.Read full review

I had a Fuji X-T1 originally but was forced to sell it. An opportunity to purchase this one came up allowing me to return to using, in my opinion, the best Mirror Less camera in the market! The images produced rival those of higher end DSLRs, is light enough although robust for lengthy photo-shoots and is compatible with a wide range of superb Fuji XF lenses. As an 'enthusiast' photographer the X-T1 meets my needs more than adequately and I highly recommend it!

I bought this as my second Fujifilm X-T1. I've been using an X-T1 as my main camera for over 2 years now and have up until now used an X-Pro1 as my backup, often covering weddings with a zoom on one camera and a portrait prime lens on the other. However, I much prefer the handling of the X-T1 to the X-Pro1, so I decided to invest in a second body, especially now that they are so reasonably priced, due to the X-T2 having been around for some time. Do I feel the need to upgrade to the X-T2? Well, not really as this is just a tool of my trade and the X-T1 is perfectly good for what I use it for. Studio baby photography, portraits, weddings, product photography, etc. Great handling, great image quality, light, with superb Fujifilm lenses and a joy to use.

Beautiful to touch and look at. Versatile, technical, simple. Solid, compact and one of the best cameras on the market. Stunning image quality. What more could you want from a camera?

Having owned 3 X-E1's and 2 X-Pro1's and an X-T10 I decided to buy the X-T1, Wow! I am glad I did, the Viewfinder is awesome, lovely and big and bright the Camera is super light, Even with the Battery Grip, it's a dream to hold and shoot and quality is second to none, My only gripe would be the 4 Directional Battons are slightly recessed, but I can live with that, Chuck on some Old School Legacy Glass and the FujiFilm X-T1 is a keeper for sure.

Much has already been written by reviewers on the web. There is nothing unique that I could add to it. Perhaps just on the personal note, this X-T1 is the best camera I have ever had since digital cameras came out. I have ditched very expensive FF gear because of this marvel. I use only vintage lenses, so this 8th world miracle is a true blessing. The only drawback is that I needed to install an extra bracket and larger right hand grip because my hands were to big for this little guy/girl. Oh, one more thing, I had to mod the D-buttons by putting some layer of leather onto these, using double-sided sticky tape. The D-buttons were too deep into the body, but now they're popping out a bit which makes it easier for my big hands to operate. Other than that: This X-T1 is so fast at 8 fps, has no ISO noise at even 6400, yep, and weighs less than an empty bottle of beer LOL. Plus the usual other 999 goodies of course ...Read full review

Although this is a 2014 camera, it is great, with full control of the camera from the dials and the lens aperture. The photographs are also great, using the Fujifilm lenses.

The X-T1 is a fantastic camera for entry level or experienced photographers and is still a very valid product to purchase and use in 2020
