Top Stage Guitar Hangers
These are really nice hangers,I would guess the hardwood is oak from the smell and feel when drilling it.I highly recommend using 3" wood screws and installing directly into a stud so there is no chance of your guitar suffering damage from falling off the wall.I got a 3 - pack and did just that with two of them,with the other one I discarded the included hanging hardware and for only $1.39 bought two proper dry wall hangers that go all the way thru the drywall and have an expanded clamp on them so when you push it all the way thru the dry wall it opens up about 2" wide and as you tighten the bolt thru it,it clamps the object being hung so that the drywall is sandwiched between the hanger and the expanded clamp on the inside of it.This means that you are relying on a huge square of drywall to hold your guitar instead of a little hole in the drywall.This will give you the best and safest results as for it to fail a 2" x 4" chunk of the drywall has to be ripped out instead of just a tiny little 1/4" round piece of plastic simply pulling out of the drywall.I had to drill out the holes a bit to fit the larger and stronger screws and bolts I used but this is fast and easy and is well worth it to assure the safety of your guitar.The hangers themselves are excellent and very sturdy and have an ample amount of solid steel threaded into the T-Nut to provide a solid connection between the hanger and the wood block.I would highly recommend this product for anyone who has instruments to keep both safe and out of the way.After installing the hanger directly into a wall stud with 3" wood screws I have an $800 Custom Gibson hanging from one and a $500 custom guitar on the other,as well as my $300 acoustic hanging on the one installed with proper drywall hangers,and I have complete confidence that they are all very safe and sound.All and all a great product at a great price!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Tight clearnces make Instruments with WIDE necks like basses a problem
They work FINE. The Wall Anchors they ship MUST have larger than usual Pilot Holes drilled. The WIDTH of the neck is critical. I play 5 string basses and these will NOT work for those. I also play Classical Guitar. They BARELY work for those. Starts etc... if not custom wide necks are fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for the price
I ordered these once. Had 6 guitars to hang. I wanted a good hanger but not expensive. Hung all 6 of this guitars. Very easy to hang and extremely sturdy on the wall. Just what I needed to organize my guitars ... Wife loves It
Nice appearance. Easy to install on 16" or 24" stud spacing I purchased a total of 3 packs Nine individual hangers) Great price. I did use longer screws (2 inch deck) as the ones supplied with the hangers would only penetrated the wall stud by 3/8 of an inch after going through the dry wall. I felt safer hanging the heavier guitars with longer screws ++++

Neatly hung, and out of the way.
This worked out better than i thought it would.. I no longer have my Guitars sitting around the room, all way's having to move them around to clean or set them on the furniture just to get them out of the way.. hanging them was easy as can be . A little longer screws .
So far they've been holding every guitar I've hung . Only thing is they could have provided longer screws . I secured them into the studs in the wall and the screws they provided only went into the stud about 1/8" or so . I used a little longer screw in each top hole of the hangers that I had here at home for a little more holding power and peace of mind knowing they may hold a little better . The screws they provided may have held okay but when you are hanging expensive pieces of equipment up you don't want to take any chances of them falling and breaking .
