Has a few issues. PROS: 1. Small footprint 2. Lots of options 3. Ethernet support 4. Picture is good especially on the HDMI output. 5. Aside from a CON below it has lasted a long time. October 2013 is the production date on the one tested. CONS: 1. Slow User Interface for web (TCP/IP) access. 2. Those "lots of options" aren't organized very efficiently and intuitively. 3. WiFi LAN doesn't want to connect with latest firmware of V.96 especially when securing to a WiFi. As I'm told I'm a computer expert this is not just a casual observation. Seems to be an issue with Toshiba in general and other models. 4. EOL... so no support from Toshiba including newer firmware updates.

This is a frustrating and generally poorly performing unit. With blu-rays, the audio was usually grossly out-of-sync with the video. With DVDs, there was no problem with the synchrony of the audio and video, but there was yet another confounding problem. Approximately half-way through most DVDs, the audio would start to break up and resonate. The effect was so bad that I literally could not understand what people were saying. This problem would persist indefinitely unless I stopped the DVD, turned off the power, turned the power back on and then resumed play. Usually, but not always, this maneuver corrected the problem. I connected with the web and downloaded updates, which did nothing to correct either problem. I would strongly urge you to avoid this player.
Very nice machine
